Project
DETAILS
Building this new full-floor veterinary hospital required careful coordination and creative problem-solving with the building owner and neighboring tenant, a fully-operational surgical center. Skyline performed all construction activity at night for the first three months to avoid any noise or vibration disruptions for the surgical center. Additionally, the building's existing passenger elevators were too small to handle material delivery. Since there were no freight elevators in the building, Skyline flew and loaded all necessary equipment and material through a balcony on the third floor. Elements of the project include four Emergency Room suites, specialty surgical rooms, and rooms for dedicated veterinary imaging equipment like next-generation MRIs, CTs, and X-rays. Lines for medical gas were also installed throughout the space. The building received significant improvements including electrical systems, which were upgraded from 1200 to 1600 amps to accommodate the new medical equipment, and a new, standalone external elevator to service all three floors.
