Project
DETAILS
The success of Chef Adam Perry Lang’s APL Restaurant in Hollywood encouraged the owners of The Estate, Yountville, to invite him to open a second restaurant in the historic Groezinger Estate House, originally built by vintner Gottlieb Groezinger in 1870. The house has since been converted into an elegant restaurant, with 2 dining areas flanking a bar with deep wood paneling and exposed brick.
Skyline Construction carefully performed demolition of the existing restaurant and increased the building size by adding 1,700 sq. ft. of new space while keeping the integrity of the historic brick estate house intact. The expansion and renovation included detailed tile work, beautiful imported finishes, and a sophisticated refrigeration unit for patrons to store dry-aged beef with a viewing window. All new kitchen equipment, dishwashing stations, pantry storage, and new restrooms were also completed. The new enhanced restaurant seats 120 patrons and opened its doors in October 2019.
