Oberlin Science Center

Exterior reimaging project using Design-Build system.

Project

DETAILS

Prevost's scope on this project included a lobby remodel, new entry facade, storefront glazing replacement, and building re-finish on a limited budget. After several conceptional design renderings and budget evaluations were performed, the building underwent a transformation that completely changed the look and feel of the building entry and surrounding facade. A new aluminum clad trellis over the entry was accentuated with CoreTen steel panels and architectural lighting, along with new landscaping as the main features of the renovation. The existing storefront entry was replaced with energy efficient, ultra-pure white glazing and herculite doors, while the remaining building was re-finished with smooth plaster and a new energy efficient, solarban 60 glazing system.
