Introducing

INATAI FOUNDATION

Previously known as the Group Health Foundation, Inatai’s vision of their new space involved creating a welcoming environment perfect for hosting meaningful events and facilitating impactful meetings with their grantees. This vision was realized through a comprehensive floor demolition and reconstruction, careful selection of materials, and the design of multiple collaborative spaces tailored to meet their specific needs and preferences.

INATAI OFFICES

The Inatai project started with a full-scale demolition, stripping the space down to its bare bones, including the removal of all existing finishes, partitions, and ceilings. Throughout the renovation, there was strong emphasis on enhancing the space's acoustic properties and flexible space configuration. Therefore, the rebuild included new Acoustibuilt ceilings throughout, ensuring quiet workspaces and private rooms to conduct meetings with grantees. The installation of a motorized operable partition offers flexible space configurations while effectively controlling and reducing noise. Additionally, 9Wood acoustical wood ceilings were installed in the main open areas, designed to absorb and block sound while being attractive and bringing warmth to the space.

INTEGRATING ARTWORK

Native artwork was an important element of the final design, reflecting Inatai’s commitment to empowering communities that advocate for social change. The integration of these art installations required careful coordination and communication among the client, architect, and art consultant to ensure the artwork was adequately incorporated, lit and enhanced.
