Skyline Construction is excited to announce the addition of Scott McPhie as Senior Project Executive in the Bay Area.  Based out of Skyline’s San Jose office, Scott brings over 20 years of experience to the team, specializing in preconstruction and construction for science, technology and healthcare clients.

Scott joins Skyline from XL Construction, where he honed his skills in risk management as a Project Executive. He led contract reviews and negotiations, performed project risk reviews and audits, and developed new training programs for project management teams. Notably, he spearheaded an initiative to boost adoption and compliance with the firm’s risk program by an impressive 30 percent.

Prior to XL Construction, Scott held key leadership positions at Rudolph & Sletten and Principal Builders. He was instrumental in securing negotiated contracts by leveraging his strong relationships with Silicon Valley clients.

“Scott’s expertise and deep understanding of specialized construction projects, particularly in the lab and healthcare sectors, is a huge win for our clients,” said Rene Olivo, President California Operations. “He’s a problem-solver, a collaborator, and is passionate about delivering exceptional results. That’s the Skyline way, and we’re thrilled to have him on board.”

Scott holds a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management from Utah Valley University. He is also a certified LEED Green Associate and a Safety Trained Supervisor. Outside of work, Scott is a dedicated learner and coach with a passion for family, music, and the outdoors.
